6/22/2020 · Yesterday wo Utatte – 12 (END ) I was looking forward to this ending with a great deal of trepidation even before I learned that in fact, Yesterday o Utatte was going to be 12 episodes and not 18. Turns out the 6 AbemaTV episodes were just the two-minute extras (the last of which I included in this review), and not actual episodes.
8/9/2008 · At the end I don’t think she is waiting for Rou so that they can begin dating but instead she decides to face her feelings and not run away. It’s an open ending about who Shinako ends up with for me but I am leaning that she will end up with Rou because at the end they show that Rou will continue to pursue her and maybe she will accept him for who he is instead of treating him like a substitute.

That leads to some puzzling questions, such as why the anime paced itself perfectly for an 18-episode slot and then spewed out a mostly-original ending .

9/9/2020 · Posts: 582. What started as an OK manga, ended up being a rather mediocre one… As it went on, the little potential it had dissipate thanks to its characters and story-progression… And yea, that ending , there is only one world to describe it: disappointing.
Rikuo and Shinako share plenty of meals in the penultimate episode, but all of it takes place toward the tail end of their three month relationship. The grocery store scene feels so strange because it closely follows Rikuo’s sleepover at Haru’s apartment, which was itself a direct continuation of episode 10’s cliffhanger (the break-in).
6/22/2020 · Yesterday wo Utatte is a story following Uozumi Rikuo – a guy that didn’t know what to do after college and ended up settling for a part-time job in a convenience store. Another thing he wasn’t able to get over was his love interest Morimone Shinako, who is now a high school teacher.
