12/4/2011 · On every bike you turn the idle screw in, (clockwise) to raise the idle rpm. The screw raises the slider as if you were twisting the throttle. Has nothing to do with mixture. More info is needed. Does the bike start? If not ,turning that screw isn’t going to help. The bike has to run before you can set the idle .
5/15/2009 · Yea the middle part is the screw. Turn it in to raise the idle . The 8mm nut locks the screw into position so it doesn’t vibrate out.
11/13/2006 · Back the screw out 1.5 turns. Turn the idle screw in until it idles. If the bike fails to idle smoothly, and don’t let anyone fool you, a properly set up two stroke will idle , then turn the mixture screw in or out a quarter turn at a time until it smoothes out. Readjust the idle speed at that point.
11/7/2006 · Re: Yamaha yz125 carb adjustments. The idle adjustments are easy……….. 1.) adjust your throttle cable free play. 2.) start bike and warm up. 3.) once warm, turn idle up a little high at the adjustment and then adjust low speed pilot screw to achieve the highest possible idle .
3/26/2021 · Also check your jets. Since everything was apart and maybe knocked around a little piece of who knows what could have gotten in the float bowl and into a jet. Specifically check the pilot jet. A plugged pilot jet will cause a high idle because itll run lean. Just a couple thoughts.
